Great Girls

Great Girls, established in 2014 is a Cape Town-based non-profit organization that empowers disadvantaged girls to overcome the challenges of transitioning from high school to full time employment. Great Girls believes that all girls are capable of achieving greatness, but that circumstances often hold them back from reaching their full potential.

Kris Miller, the visionary behind Great Girls, plays a key role in empowering young women across South Africa. She leads the organisation with purpose, handling everything from day-to-day operations to strategic planning, all to bring their mission to life and open doors for the next generation.

Through hands on training and personalised guidance, Great Girls helps girls from challenging backgrounds develop a range of skills, from job readiness to life skills like budgeting and assertiveness, empowering them to become confident, capable, and self-assured individuals.This empowers them to tap into their potential, develop a growth mindset, and create a pathway to a successful and meaningful career.

The girls who joined Great Girls were ready for a change and needed guidance to unlock their potential. Inspired by their experiences, they've gained self-awareness, built confidence, and developed a growth mindset. With renewed ambition, they're now focused on creating a brighter future through education, career advancement, and seeking bursary opportunities to fuel their aspirations.
